Hello there!

I'm Lyco Angelo Ty, but you can simply call me Lyco.

Since April 2017, I've been actively working as a website developer in the Philippines, based in Pasig City. My primary focus is on designing website frontends and crafting engaging user interfaces. I specialize in creating exceptional web experiences that are not only user-friendly and engaging but also feature captivating animations. Furthermore, I excel in developing web products and digital experiences that prioritize accessibility and cater to a diverse audience.

Fast forward to 2019, I began my career as a Jr. Frontend Developer at Code and Theory, Manila. Over the course of four years, I've steadily advanced to the position of Associate Technical Director. My journey has been fueled by my unwavering eagerness and hunger for more success, and I have no intention of slowing down.

I owe my success to those who supported and mentored me, specifically the Technical Director, Functional Manager, Producer and my colleagues with whom I have passionately worked. Their passionate guidance and patience are deeply appreciated. To give back, I aim to mentor the next generation, particularly my current team as an FE Functional Manager, passing on knowledge and fostering even greater achievements.

What excites me most about my career as a website developer is the ever-evolving digital landscape. Technology's relentless progress keeps web development dynamic, presenting fresh challenges and opportunities. My natural drive to create digital experiences that go beyond the ordinary fuels my enthusiasm for this field.

Interests

  • I have a passion for photography, especially when it comes to family events and gatherings. Whenever there's a special occasion, I can't resist the urge to snap pictures and document those moments. My interest for photography continues in my travels, where I capture moments to preserve memories of places and cultures.

    Currently, I use a Sony A7C camera with a 50mm prime lens and a kit lens, alongside my trusty Sony a5100 with a kit lens (which was my very first camera ever). While my setup is relatively basic, I'm excited about the potential for improvement and expansion in the future as I continue to develop my photography skills. Additionally, I occasionally do photography for small events as a source of income, which further fuels my enthusiasm for this craft.

  • I'm a die hard gamer! I enjoy playing on PlayStation, Nintendo, PC, and mobile games, immersing myself in captivating single-player games like The Last of Us, God of War, Uncharted, Legend of Zelda, Assassin's Creed, Persona, Marvel Snap and the list goes on. I'm not particularly into multiplayer games; I much prefer to lose myself in the rich, immersive worlds of single-player experiences.

    But my passion for gaming doesn't stop at playing; I dream of becoming a game developer myself. It may not be too late, and I'm determined to make that dream a reality.

  • Binge-watching all day! From epic superhero sagas in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to mind-bending movies by Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, my all-time favorite), and gripping biopics like The Pursuit of Happyness, I'm in for the long haul. I also admire Quentin Tarantino's distinctive storytelling and cinematic style, but the list goes on and doesn't limit itself to these.

    Anime? I've journeyed from '90s classics like Yu Yu Hakusho to modern gems like Demon Slayer, Spy x Family, Mob Psycho 100 and more.

    And when it comes to TV, I've dived into crime and chemistry with Walter White, lawyered up with Saul Goodman, followed the badass world of Peaky Blinders, solved mysteries with Sherlock Holmes, and laughed uncontrollably with Modern Family and The Big Bang Theory where humor knows no bounds.

  • I'm a full-time coder, and my keyboard often feels like I'm in an abusive typing relationship! But after work, I dive into web development as a hobbyist, where my passion truly shines.

    As an enthusiast, I'm always refining my skills, exploring new technologies, experimenting with various design approaches, and staying updated with the latest web development trends.

    One highlight of my hobby is my passion for exceptional UI design, immersive user experiences, and animation. I aim to craft visually stunning interfaces that offer seamless user experiences, using animation to make interactions engaging and memorable.
